"The Fate's Endeavor Series, surpassing the emotional fabric of angels and demons and delving into the delicate threads which infuse Fate's tapestry."
To understand the Fate's Endeavor books one must first understand that they are all connected. Fate's Endeavor is a universe. Every story makes up a piece of the whole puzzle. This is why some characters carry over into the next installment. It's much like living in a large city but encountering certain people in a continuum, while others you only ever meet once.
It is also important to know the difference between a saga and a series. Many people use these two words interchangeably. However, they aren't actually the same thing at all.
A SAGA:
A story that continues with the same main characters throughout. No new characters are the focus in a saga. Think of the Twilight Saga.
A SERIES:
A series is a collection of stories that fall under an umbrella or theme. The main characters can be different in each installment, but there is always a continuous thread that binds each story. Think of the Netflix TV Show "Black Mirror".
Fate's Endeavor is a series, not saga.
Now that these things are clear, let's get into the meat of this page.
The Higher Sources
In Fate's Endeavor, everything starts with the Higher Sources. Combined, they are God. Known as the Alpha and Omega, they are the equal and opposite ends of the deities who created the universe. Perpetually together, for they complete one another, the Higher Sources can be considered the divine Mother and Father of creation.
All things start and end with the Higher Sources.
This is followed by the Hierarchy of Angels.
The Hierarchy of Angels
The Hierarchy of angels is composed of 6 Archangels and 6 "other" angels. The 6 others are one of each species of angel; a Cherubim, a Seraphim, an Angel, a Throne, a Dominion, and a Virtue.
The Archangels seated at the thrones are the strongest of their kind, and frankly, the most important. The 6 other angels seated at the thrones are the representatives of their kind.
These angels are the cornerstone of the spiritual realms. They are the stronghold, their positions are not to be taken lightly as they bring together all the threads of the series.
Now, that you understand this, let's look at the set up of existence. I call it "the Hierarchy of Existence".
The Hierarchy of Existence
In the above graph I depict the echelons of all combined worlds. Starting, of course, with the Higher Sources and then making my way down to hell and its inhabitants. This graph is basically the pecking order of the dead, the living, the supernatural and the demonic. It paves the ground work of how the Fate's Endeavor universe works.
Next, let's look at each level of heaven and hell and how they are connected to one another.
The Spirit Realms
The Spirit Realms abide in two places; parallel to earth as an invisible sheath that cannot be perceived by the human eye, and once entered into, as an alternate world separate from all humanly things.
Like earth the Spirit realm has layers.
To better explain these layers it would be easier to compare it to the inside of our own planet. On the above graph you can see the levels of the Spirit Realms and how that connect and even overlap the tangible realm.
Stepping into the Spirit Realms is like traversing into a different dimension where things echo planet earth but are incredibly surreal. Some are superlative, some are bizarre, and others ghastly.
Here is how the divisions work:
The Highest Ground is the home of the Higher Sources and also heaven itself. The eternally saved who pass on come to abide in the Highest Ground. They also have the benefit of "designing" the heaven they would like to live in for all eternity.
The Middle Ground is the home of all angles, archangels included. This is also where you will find the thrones of the Hierarchy. Only angels are allowed here.
Limbo is the void between realms. It is the place where the chosen find themselves after passing. From here they are redirected to their eternal calling.
The Low Ground is the home of all demons, including Lucifer. It is the place where they were cast upon turning against the Higher Sources. However, Lucifer prefers to live as far away from the Creators as possible. So she rather live in hell than in the Low Ground.
The Lowest Ground is hell. This is the place where the eternally condemned reside. It is the incarnation of a nightmare. To most it looks like a haunted fair, but to some of the condemned it is a place of solitude and perpetual fear.
Now that you understand the makeup of the Fate's Endeavor universe, you'll be able to understand how each story is connected.
With that said, I hope you enjoy the worlds I've created for your entertainment.
Peace, Love and Hair-grease.
